• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryker 12,000? Mile Transmission Warning - when did it show?

I'm wondering how much odometer variation there is between everyone's Rykers whose had their transmission warning come on. Mine hasn't popped up yet with just under 12,100 miles. What was your mileage?

I'm at that point now so I'll change the belt myself, but will need to take it in to have the code cleared. Just a code, no limp mode, correct?

Correct, NO limp mode. My warning did not come on until 12,525 miles. I rode one more 30 mile ride. Then changed the belt and oil over the weekend. Didn't get the 12,000 check for another 450 miles, due to the main water pipe started leaking out in the front yard. Thank goodness I had (& a triple thumbs up to) Pivotal Home Solutions!

I'd try dis-connecting the Battery first ...... this very often clears codes ...... JMHO .... Mike

Its going to take years for me to hit 12k miles. I have only 225 on my 22 Rally right now. Traded my 19 in with 2100 miles on it back in December to pick up my new one.

That's O.K.........It's the SMILES per MILES, that really count. Enjoy the ride.:ohyea:

Also wondering if it's possible to reset the warning odometer before the code appears. I have a few days off now so I could change my belt and take it to my dealer, but I'm just under 12k so the code hasn't appeared yet.

Yes. I had to have my CVT repaired at 2500 miles and that included a new belt. Just under 14000 miles now and no message or warning yet - expecting it in another 500 miles. Dealer must have reset it.
