• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I came up with this idea to post and share our presentation cards to keep an online Rolodex. Hope you join in.
Here is mine:

Appreciate the offer, but I'm not as trusting as you are to share that much info about myself on the 'information highway'.

My phone company doesn't publishing a phone book.
I wouln't want to create an open repertory highlighting my address, specially we often publish in advance when we will not be home.

What might be interesting is someone updating "my place" in Google earth with names of riders per town.
and we would share by invitation the map and" my place".
Based on the map and your planned trip you would know who you might want to meet along your trip.

This could be an interesting pet project!

"Rolodex"... Here I was thinking, "Rolex" and wondering what I'd have to sell to be able to get one...
This actually isn't all that bad of an idea!

You'd be surprised how easy it is to get this information. Most of the time a simple google search of your name will give you all of this and more. A $9/yr subscription to a datamining service will pull up everywhere you've ever lived. Everywhere you've ever worked. Everywhere you'd paid taxes along with a significant amount of information about family members and friends. I did it and it found what cars I've owned, tons of information about services I've subscribed to. All publicly available.

Welcome to the information age.

I'll have to do that. I've always wanted to remember that stuff. :roflblack:

It was actually kinda nostalgic, remembering all those places I'd mostly forgotten about.

Back on topic tho... Maybe that Spyders to the rescue spreadsheet would be a better place for your info?

Can't remember where that link is tho...
