• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi everybody, I wasnt able to make the ride last year to the home coming in Canada and I was wandering how many miles did the group ride per day? The reason I am asking is I live in Indiana and I am thinking about making the trip this year to California. I have some health issues and I am not sure how many miles my health will let me ride. I would greatly appreciate any info on last years ride or this years. Thanks

I'm thinking that ride was around 200 miles or so from Americade to Valcort. I can't remember now but it wasn't too long of a ride.

My guess is the BRP ride won't be that long seeing it's not starting till 3pm.
Hope you can make it. :doorag:

Most beginners at long distance touring have a hard time with over 400-500 miles a day. Some folks are done in more quickly, in as few as 200-300. Some make much more. I wouldn't plan on over 250-300 until I tested myself. If that's easy, stretch it out. Better yet, plan some fun weekend rides near home in increasingly larger circles. You'll find your limits, yet never be too far away to make it back. It always pays to find out what you can handle first. You don't want to be laid up somewhere in Nebraska because your back seized up, or something.

Hi, I most have confused you guys, I am talking about rideing all the way from Indiana. I know its about 2000 miles and the most I rode in one day was a trip back from Sturgis, not really sure how far, but it took all day and most of the night. Is anybody trying to put together a group ride all the way there? And if so please give me some details as to how far each day and how many days you plan to complete the trip, thanks. Sorry for the confusion. And oh I have about 30 years of experience on two wheels, only one year on the spyder. Although I find the spyder a more comfortable ride than two wheels.
