• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Russell Day Long - 1500 Mile Ride Report!

So, went on a 2 1/2 day, 1500 mile ride last week with the new Russell Day Long seat.
Met up in Staunton VA and slabbed it south on 81 to Asheville NC.
From there we rode the Smokies, The Snake, The Dragon at Deal's Gap - Couldn't believe the amount of Spyders down there! Must have seen 30 that day!
Went up through Gatlinburg etc and did some of the BR parkway.
Ended up back in Asheville but there were no hotels in the city available (Bloody leaf peepers!!) so ended up in a little town called Mars Hill.

Anyway, long story short the Russell performed brilliantly.
No numbness, no pain... nothing but great riding for all of the 1500 miles.
Normally I'm lifting my bum off the seat whilst riding, especially on the black top but this time was great.

I've had Day Long seats before on other bikes but this has to be the best one I've had made to date.
Highly recommended.

I've been thinking about one for a long time. By the way, there was a Spyder event Spyders in the Smokies last weekend out of Fontana Village. That is where all the Spyders you saw were from.

I have about a 100 mile on my Russell. I slide down the seat is that normal and just part of the break-in process? I also ride higher than on the OEM seat, I like it but I'm just trying to figure out if I need a re-do or just more patients. Thanks

Saddle

Mine fit perfect out of the box. Send it back with a note of the problem. They fix it.

As jam said... If you aren't happy (it's made for you) give Kim or Terry a call and explainwwhat's happening.
They'll redo it for you.
