Russel Day Long Seat on Ryker

I love my Russell seat. It's like having my living room sofa on the bike. I put about 800 miles on it and my ass doesn't complain anymore. This time I went with Vinyl instead of leather.

~~~speaking strictly for myself, I’d love to see a pic of your Ryker with your Russell saddle. At the risk of switching gears (pun intended=:-), I’m inching closer to purchasing a Ryker for myself
Would you mind sharing how you went about ordering? I still only have the stock seat which becomes a bit uncomfortable after 30 miles or so and I'd like a much better alternative.
Thanks in advance!
My understanding is the RDL requires a seat pan. If you just have the oem foam seat they can't use it to work on. If you give them your $300 comfort seat they may be able to work with that.( I believe that has a base plate but not sure.)
~~~several members have Ru$$ell seats. All that needs to be done is to contact them and they’ll tell you what to send them. What amazes me is how comfortable the OEM Ryker seat is. For those that dont know, I ended up buying one March 2020, a new Rally. Longest trip for me has been from my homestead in north central Florida to Key Largo and back. I did the trip in three days so other than spending a few nights in a motel, I spent most of each day in the saddle, at least for me, the OEM Ryker seat is probably the most comfortable OEM motorcycle seat I’ve ever had the pleasure to sit on. In the aforementioned trip I rode nearly 1000 miles in those 3 days and never experienced monkey butt. What was unpleasant was the lack of a windscreen and cruise control, both easily dealt with via aftermarket suppliers

Everyone has a different experience but mine regarding the OEM seat has been bliss, and I’m glad I didn't need to buy a Ru$$ell seat since they are expensive, but if you need a good saddle, it’s money well spent

I may go for the comfort seat and try that out for a while. If I don't like it, I could always send that to Russell to have it upgraded of they are able to do that. I'll give them a call and find out what my options are. I love the Ryker and want to be able to ride it longer dang it!

My RDL will be here July 23 ;) Have one on our Indian Roadmaster and can ride a long way with it...I did buy custom seat, but it also was not comfortable so sent custom seat to RDL...using air max on the stock seat...better than nothing

My wife just got a Corbin for her Ryker and really likes it. She's only put about 600 miles on it so far but she said it was instantly better than stock. At 100 miles on the stock seat she had serious butt pain and now she's been able to do a 400 mile day and felt fine the next day. Corbin says 2000 miles for break-in so we're hoping it will get even better.

I hope this helps.

Off topic, but what's up with the oem comfort seat? I'm being told they've been on back order all the way since April. I ordered one with my bike, but it's still not in. Can't even find it on E-bay or Amazon.

Amazon had one last week but only showed 3 in stock. I was on a waiting list with my dealer and I got mine this past Friday so they may be coming out at a trickle.
