• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Russel Day Long Saddle

Do not panic Putt-Putt, bjt has it right. We are up to 15% guaranteed discount right now. If we hit the 50 seat mark we will get the 20% discount. 15% is better than the 10% we had so we'll just keep the faith that we will reach the 20% soon.

No discount changes. They have different levels of discount depending on how many seats they get signed up for the group discount. They give 10% off if they get up to 30 or 35 seats, 15% off if they get up to 50 seats and 20% off if they get over 50 seats. We've just reached the level where we get 15% off guaranteed, instead of the 10% that we were looking at if they didn't get more orders.

Well Thank you for the explaination. And I hope you are right. They couldn't of counted mine yet as it was just mailed today, so they don't have it yet. Thank you and your wife for following up on this.:2thumbs:

By the way what are you guys using for a box to send your seat in. I measured it and the box needs to be about 36" X 17".

I kind of made a box. I used the box that my Bushtec hitch came in and it wasn't tall enough. So I added another box on top of that one and taped it up really well with packing tape. It wasn't pretty but it worked. I am not sure what we will be doing for bjt's seat, that has to be sent out in a few days. I know you can buy different size boxes at UPS but I don't know what they cost.

Mine's going out Nov 5th or 6th, in the meantime, I'm checking with UPS, FedEx and DHL for boxes big enough. If I can't find one from one of them, U-Haul has all kinds of boxes, I'll think of something.
How many on the list now?

dltang -- I think you said you were getting the large diamond pattern. Do they have a small diamond pattern? If they do have the small diamond I think that the small pattern would give you more air flow. Which would be better on hot days. Just my thinking anyway. I'll have to call and find out unless you know.

If you go to their website, they have pictures of the different patterns, large diamond, small diamond, half moon, and I think a small square, plus some custom stitched patterns.

I have a Stock Seat available for sale if anyone is interested.. A most resonable offer is expected plus shipping ( I think ground is $25, and if less I will refund the difference )

Email or call... [email protected] 407-520-1061

Thank you

PS.. The seat is perfect I just replaced it with a corbin in Ormond Beach during bike week and they shipped the Stock Seat to me and it is still in the Corbin Box ready to go.
If you are not happy send it back, selling price refunded but shipping is not. I am not rich....just a pore Retard Retiree...

I just got the call from Russell Day Long, my production date is 12/3/08.
I asked how many orders they had for the "group buy" and Heather said they had 42. They had 3 back out so it would have been 45.

" SO WE NEED JUST 8 MORE SEATS ORDERED TO GET THE 20% OFF! "

And she said they have to have the orders in their possession by 11/10/08

Please get them in

Come on 8 more seats, we can do it!!! My production date was yesterday and they called and I sent some more photos in. Also, Heather suggested red trim for my seat to accent my spyder at no additional cost. I went with it. I hope it isn't too much. I am getting excited about this seat now. It will be about two weeks they say.

To take the seat off; what is the procedure? Do you have to take the rear plastic piece off with the BRP emblem on it? I have the Givi top box if that makes a difference for clearance to remove it. I know Disconnect the shock & and the seat sensor.

Never mind I got it off. I had to take the top box bracket off to get the plastic cover off.

I will be sending an email asking about the completion of my seat, should be done or almost done, I will ask and as soon as I hear, I'll post it.

LaughingHeart got hers, and we put it on, complete with heat. Also switched the bars to MM's 7". She was able to get a few miles (enough to be quite pleased with the comfort) before the weather crapped out. Once this icy stuff is gone, we hope to get in a good ride before real winter.

Now if I can get the camera to upload . . . .

Just got off the phone with Heather from Russell Cycle Products and she said that they got around 80 orders on the group buy so everyone gets 20% off.

dltang's seat will ship today and we should have it by the end of next week so I can get mine sent in. :2thumbs:

FANTASTIC !!!

Thanks bjt

I hope dltang likes :congrats: her new seat. Problem is it getting too cold to ride much. Will be waiting for review on it.

Don't worry Putt Putt, I will find a few days to put some long miles on the seat and give it a good test. I will give my first impressions as well as how the seat feels after some miles. I will also post some photos as soon as my seat arrives and we get it put on "Spin" (I've decided that is the name, Dutch for spider)

Just a little note for everyone. My total cost for my seat was $550.00 That includes the shipping from California and a rain cover that I purchased. I think that is a bargain for a seat custom made for my weight and inseam and riding position. I can not wait for it to arrive. I will keep you all posted.
