• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for posting about Rolling Thunder. Although you may not get a lot of responses, don't be discouraged - it is a wee bit early.

As you know, the Rolling Thunder Ride To The Wall is always on the Sunday before Memorial Day. Next year, it will be on May 24th. MARK YOU CALENDARS NOW!!

The Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Rally in Washington, DC is a week-long event. Check out the schedule for the 2008 event: http://www.rollingthundermotorcyclerally.com/upevents.html
Although the schedule hasn't been published for '09 yet, the events will be very similar.

Unless a person has attended Rolling Thunder, one cannot adequately express the feeling you get when you see the North Parking Lot of the Pentagon filled with over 300,000 motorcycles!! Although most of the bikes are Harley's (or, Harley types), we are beginning to see more and more bikes of every type and genre there.

Whether or not you were in Vietnam, the military or even have anyone you know that is or was ........ you won't believe the wave of emotions that will flow over you while in the parking lot and then join in the parade to the Vietnam Wall and of course - the visit to the Wall itself!!

Sorry to ramble on like this but when MSGCDOC made the post, memories of past visits to Rolling Thunder came back. You owe it to yourself to try to make at least one of these - - - if you do, - - - you will return!

I hope we will see a good contingent of Spyder Riders there next year.

I might hit this one up too. Sounds like a great family vacation. Check out the Smithsonian, Lincoln Memorial, the Pentagon- punch Ted Kennedy in the face. Good times.
