I used my cruise control for the first time yesterday. I set it at 60 and it worked fine. However, I hit a bump and it shut off. I believe I have heard about this before. Is it just the bounce that knocked it off ? I then reset it and everything was fine.

Cruise Control cuts out on bumps.

I just finished reading a few articles on cruise controls shuttin off. I thought that maybe the cruise button bounced, but I believe that everyone is right when saying the brake jumps and that shuts off the cruise.

I ride a 60 mile stretch of highway and I can expect it to kick out of cruise over the same bump every time. It's a safety thing, so fine with me.
