• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Read the post "dissapointment by Nancy's Toy. Sorry you're having so much trouble with your new RTS but hope all your prob. can be resolved. I didn't let my wife read it or I would have had to slip her a mickey to get her on the back of ours.:2thumbs: I was getting worried because we just got ours home from the dealer , so thought I better go for a ryde and see for myself. Well I put on my lined chaps and electric vest and jumped on the seat..well crawled on as I'm not that young any more:2thumbs:. Now I know what my wife means when she says old age is sneaking up on her.:yikes: When on the highway, I found power was very responsive and I was pleased with the steering. I can't compare it with a RS because I never owned one.Fuel guage went down fairly fast but I'm used to driving a 1989 Ford pickup that would make the space shuttle seem like a gas miser:roflblack:I was watching the fuel guage and it was bobbing so much that I thought I would have to stop and put my head over the port railing:(but stopped watching it and I was fine. Overall am very pleased with the RTS.

I had the same problem with a "bouncy" gas gage. Dealer replaced it with a new one that's solid as a rock now.

Don't let your wife read my thread. From my experience with the demo rides, and comparing to what other owners have said, I think my handling problems are in the extreme, and the brakes are an isolated incident. The other stuff is just nagging quality control or dealer prep issues, abundant and annoying, but not dangerous. Set up the shock preload, check the suspension pre-charge...and enjoy the Ryde! BTW, your comment on the bouncing gauge was priceless. I'll have to use it for ammo at my dealer. :roflblack:

My lovely bride used to work on a charter fishing boat, and when we go out on the ocean, she always recommends eating crackers and keeping your eye on the horizon...:roflblack:

RTS Ride

Whew glad to hear yours is ok. I have been waiting for 2 weeks for a VIN # for my new RT. I am going no chrome so I went with the RT. I was getting worried after reading the disappointing stuff because I love my '08.

I'm glad you had a good ride and you are happy with your RT. If you look at most of the post about the RT they have been positive. Anything made by humans can and will have issues from time to time. Pretty much everything I've ever owned has had some sort of issue but somehow I've worked through it. :doorag:
