• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT windscreens

Hey everybody, hope all is well with you all. I am considering an aftermarket wind screen and would like opinions on sizes and brands. I ride a 19 RTL. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. Chris

What is it you want to achieve with a screen change? Do you want higher, wider, shorter, a vent. Your question is too open ended, focus it a little more. Personally I am happy with the stock windshield.

I'm just looking to see if anyone has changed wind screens and if so, to what brand and for what reason? Basically just curious I guess. Chris

I installed a 7jurock shield in the stock size, but with a slight flip at the top. I like to ride with the shield down and look over the top and the flip takes the wind blast over my head better than the stock shield was doing.

I agree with Navydad. I got a custom seat Russell day Long, put me up about 1.5" then hitting me right in helmet at highest setting. So I got a 7jurock, wider on sides, with the slight curve at top. I can put it down low now for scenic driving, feels good. or all the up clears out any wind buffeting. I'm 6'-1"

Got a 16 RT-S. Wanted something wider than stock. Went with the Show Chrome 20-400 Windshield. It's the same height as stock but wider. Next time I might go with one slightly taller too since I have an air seat pad that raises me up. But it is still a good shield and I'm happy with the purchase.

You could try one of these, I love mine. If you do, order the optional Clamp-On adapter or drill holes in windshield like I did. It works great and a whole lot less expensive than a new W/S.

Many different choices no doubt.

We currently run a F4 standard with tint. Pretty close to oem height, but a bit wider at the bottom. Clarity is incredible when needing to look through the windscreen such as riding in the rain.

The F4 video showing how these windscreens are strong as they hit one with a hammer is impressive too.

In your quest, you might ask the folks posting how tall they are and even whet seat they ride. I am 5’10” and we ride a Corbin seat.

I have a 2016 RT-S , I run a 7jurock with light tint and flip at top standard height, 2 inches wider and love it, more importantly my wife loves it too. I believe the flip changed how the air flows for her also....The tint looks nice too. 5"6" and standard seat

Go to Ebay and do a search. Not sure who made this one, but it was perfect for me on my RT. It was 4" wider (gave more protection on the sides), and approx. 4" shorter (still good protection and had a sporty look). It also was tinted, which looked cool, and had a vent for those really hot days. I think I paid about $250 for it. Don't get caught up in thinking that you have to spend $400+ dollars to get a great windshield.

I changed the original F4 shortly after I bought my 14 RT. It was an improvement I believe as it was sturdier and the center vent helps control the back vent in the rain. I was impressed with the hammer hitting the windshield and not damaging it. But really, I love the ability to set the height with the button to get a better view or reduce helmet wind buffeting. One of the things CanAm got right. So I recommend the F4. I am 5'8".

I have a 7Jurock that is shorter than stock, with a flip -- as above it is 4 inches wider -- I love it. Note that Lamonster Garage has recently started stocking an RT compatible windscreen, I believe from Freedom Shields; it also has the flip at the top edge. From the reviews on the site, I'd say it is a big hit ... as is the screen for the F3 that they sell.

All the best …. Ann

‘15 RTS - Got the BRP vented version. No buffeting even at speed. W likes it too. Sows up in my pic.

We put a California Scientific on our 2018 RTD. It doesn't have a flip which if you have a passenger you do not want. I have found the curve actually causes more buffeting for the passenger.
