• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think I need some help from a moderator getting a pdf to download to a place where others can access it. The problem with 'albums' is it only accepts .jpg files apparently.

You can upload PDF's to a new post in this thread via Manage Attachments.

Go to Reply to Thread; then Go Advanced; and once the screen paints up scroll down past the text entry field & the Additional Options immediately below it, until you reach Attachments. Click on the Manage Attachments button, & then when the new Manage Attachments screen paints up, click on either Choose File under Upload Files from your Computer & go thru the selection process before clicking on Upload in the bottom right of that box; or enter the URL in the top field under Upload Files from a Website. Once your file is uploaded, it will appear in the box immediately above the Attachment Key field which shows all the acceptable file types & their max sizes, & once your file is shown there, you can go back to the Reply to Thread screen & fill in any necessary text (at least a quick description of what the attachment is/does/is about would help! ) and then click on Preview Post or Submit Reply as you desire - repeat as necessary! :ohyea:

Please Note: While the software might allow you to upload anything up to 10 files per post this way, just use the next line in the applicable section or you'll over-write anything previously uploaded; but if you want everyone to be able to see it/them, you should try to limit the numer of attachments/images to any one post to about 5, as (depending upon size & maybe other stuff) anything much more than 5 attachments/images on any one post may make it impossible for some potential viewers on small screen or low capacity devices/networks to even open the thread! . So if you want to ensure everybody who wants to can see your post & its attachments, Please, no more than 5 attachments/images to any one post. :lecturef_smilie: . If you have more attachments/images that you wish to upload, simply upload the first 5 to one post, submit that, then attach the next lot (of up to 5) to another/the next post (& repeat as necessary! :p ) Doing that will not only make it possible for the vast majority of potential viewers to actually open the thread & see your posts with their attachments, but it will also allow for an easier read & the display of a larger number if you have them - jam too many attachments/images into one post & even those who CAN open the thread are less likely to read/view it all, while posts of up to 5 attachments will break it up into readable/viewable chunks more likely to reach a wider audience!

Over to you!

Two PDF's explaining how to install the RT Vent Kit

One is from Can-Am. The other is from a former member here on SL.

Thanks Peter Aawen for the great instructions on how to post PDF files.

Call your spyder dealer. Have them see if they still have the kit or they can get it for you an have it sent to your home. My dealer had it to me within a week at my home. Still only cost around $70. It was couple yrs ago that I got it. Maybe still possible to get it from dealer. It was a lot cheaper than what I could find online.

Afternoon all, first post. I know it's an old thread, but I'm struggling to find these instructions...
Looking for a full copy of install instructions for the RT vent kit. Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks
DC
