• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sorry if this is a request already provided but, I couldn't find anything specific regarding installation instructions for an RT Vent Kit. I ordered the kit and it was delivered without instructions. Thanks in advance for any help

Your will need the templates too. Someone will email the info. I know someone has them here.

PM me with your email address and I'll send you the PDFs

Sorry, I lost the files when my laptop died. When you get the files, read through them. TAKE YOUR TIME, think things thru, make sure before you cut. Its nerve racking to think about cutting the Tupperware. the other side goes a little easier.

I have some files that I have been sending to a few of the folks on here. Send me a PM and I'll send them to you.

The vent kit is for the V twin motor RT's 2010-2013. It stops your feet from frying.

UtahPete sent the pics of his install. I put the Vent Kit on my 2015 and I'm VERY happy with the results. Now I don't get hot air coming up from the motor, and the Glove Box is cool enough that whatever you put in there isn't so hot you burn your hands. You don't need to cut a hole in the Tupperware, just remove the grill and everything will be hunkie dorie. Take all the parts out and fit them together on the kitchen table, they don't seem like they are compatable but keep trying until "The AH HA Moment". If there is a dealer near you that has been into Spyders from the git go, they might have the instructions in their files, ask, but remember the the Vents were for the 08-13 years. Good luck, and happy wrenching.

I'm not sure about that. Part of the what the vents do is to funnel much more air through the engine compartment and to do that they need larger openings than were originally made on the panels.

Live here in Clearwater Fl. added the vents to my 14RTS also didn't cut anything out. I just removed the grill vents. No problems and we spend alot of time in traffic. We'll see what happens in the summertime heat and humidity.
