• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT trailer question/issue

Folks

Been a while since I've posted. My wife and I each had an rs but know own one RT. I bought the matching trailer last year. I fly model aircraft and the fuselage is too long to fit inside the trailer. The wings detach and can be stowed with the support equipment inside of the trailer. I am looking for a lightweigt rack which could possibly be mounted on the lid for carrying this fuselage which would not weigh any more than 10#. Your help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

BTW I now have 7200 miles on my rt and use it as a car. It's always sad when a ride ends even after all these miles. My wife has the "real" car. Like to thank Ken and Kelly at South Texas Suzuki in Lytle Texas for all their great service and continued support. Kudos to Bruce their wonderful mechanic. Always a pleasure to do business there.

You may want to Google "Chrome Motorcycle Trailer Luggage Racks" to see what sorts of racks are available for mounting on your trailer. Many of the brand name trailers have this item as an optional accessory and they all attach permanently to the lid.
I have actually owned this sort of rack on a previously owned motorcycle trailer and I considered it stylish and a very functional accessory.

Another option of course is to modify one of these racks by using readily available suction cup feet so that you can remove the rack when not in use.

Good luck in your search and be sure to update us on anything that you find.

Visit an HD store. Harley makes some very nicely chromed luggage racks ... and the price is reasonable! I put one on the topcase of my first BMW and was very pleased with the quality. Installation is pretty simple. I would make sure you use washers and some silicone sealant to mount it to the trailer.

I would think you could rig up something using some canoe carrier pads. They attach to the gunwales of a canoe, allowing you to carry it upside-down on top of your car. They are available at many outdoors stores. You may have to rig up a wodden rack and some good means of attaching your tie-down straps to the trailer, but using the pads would not damage the trailer.
