• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. RT Tank Bag

Good Morning from rainy Upstate NY :-(

Has anyone put a tank bag on their RT. Can Am sells one for the RS I believe but not the RT. I saw one on a RS the other day and the owner said it came with the mounts to connect the front straps. I have a magnet type on my 2 wheeler and miss it on my new RTS. The little glove box is not of much use to carrry the everyday much used items I would like to have in easy reach.

Thanks -- and lets hope for sunshine to ride.

Just discovered the glove box is a foam casting that can easily be removed making the space much larger for items that are not heat sensitive.

Here's my DowCo Tank Bag on my RT. It has good storage a map window, rain cover, velco & zip closures, etc. and yes, it is a magnetic mount bag but a few small pieces of steel mounted as a liner inside the RT side panels took care of that and it fits great. The only downside is it must be lifted to access the fuel cap or the glovebox.

That is excellent -- How did you fasten the pieces of steel to the inside of the side panels? This is perfect, Lifting it for gas is not a problm for me, and I already have a nice magnetic bag for the 2 wheeler.

I can't believe BRP didn't have SOMETHING already on a TOURING model for viewing maps. Was it because they expected everyone to buy there $1500 navigation system? I just bought a $200 Magellan with a 7in window from Costco. I bought a GPS Bean Bag from Amazon for $25 or so and a $9 12V plug in extension from amazon to go from the rear trunk to under the handlebars. I have some tweaking to do but it looks like it might work. If not, I take the GPS back to Costco and bite the bullet on the Amazon purchases.

I used carefully trimmed strips of galvanized sheet steel placed to match up with the Tank bag wings and fastened them to the panels with ind contact cement, then covered them with foil tape. Worked out nice, but a little smaller bag might be preferable.

Thanks for info
