• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT standard parking brake

Hi there, I have to remove the rear caliper on my 2014 RT to remove the rear wheel for a new tyre, obviously you must release the parking brake or the caliper is stuck to the rotor, so you release the parking brake and turn off the ignition, now it starts bleeping at you. Is there a trick to this, does it eventually stop bleeping? or do you jam a piece of wood between the brake pads, put the parking brake on and turn off the ign? I'm new to Spyders, any info will be welcome

Thanks
Alex

Yes it beeps but will automatically stop beeping after around 30 to 45 seconds. Never actually timed it. Don't jam anything in there. Not necessary.
