• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rt side panel

I noticed that on the side panels they have what looks like Allen type screw but it has a dimple in the middle of it. Do you need a special tool to tighten it.

YOU DO NOT REMOVE THOSE THEY ARE NOT SCREWS. THEY HAVE A POST ON THE BACK THAT GOES INTO A GROMET. WHEN YOU TAKE THE PANEL OFF YOU PULL THEM OUT OF THE GROMET.

Thanks one side seems to be a bit lose not as tight as the other side that's is why I asked.

Loose is not good. unfortunately if it is loose it could have pivoted and damaged the nubs that index the post. It can be tightened with a security bit (you will probably have to buy a whole set). If it was mine, I'd have the dealer address it.

Removing that body panel to check what is wrong is not all that difficult. The screws you refer to are only used to hold the nubs on the other side. If the panel is loose at that point, its likely the grommet that the nub pushes into has pushed threw and is gone. Its easy to do when putting that panel one. My dealer has lost 2 of those grommets and broken one nub although they would not own up to it.

If you were closer by, I'd be glad to give you a hand with it. Really is a 15 minute fix if no parts are missing or broken.

I feel pretty stupid after reading your post. I was very tired last night and I assumed he was saying the post was loose, not the panel. Thanks for seeing it in another way. You are absolutely right about the grommets, if the panel is what's loose.

I'm usually sharper than this...I've gotta get some rest. :)
