There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. RT Shocks or Sway Bar?

Just for reference:
I just got back from the mountians (First time on the Spyder)
I have shocks maxed and sway bar. Stock tires. Got plenty of practice.
I was happy with the coner speed but this thing is no sport bike. I venture to say I could not have kept up with a good rider on a Gold Wing.
When I got back I ran this test and it will geve perdictable results so I can compare as I mod.
We have a traffic circle in town. It is a small circle as circles go.
My bud on his GXSR1000 can take it (round and round) at 85mph constant speed.(He is a knee dragger)
I tried it last night. I used to race 4 wheelers on a dirt track.
I was hanging off to the max and could get hit 55mph for a second or 2 before it lifted a wheel and shut me down. I could maintain 50mph like my budy maintained 85mph.
This should give some perspective of the potencial. Can you improve the handling? Sure ... but it anit no sport bike....

You're right, the Spyder ain't no sport bike. But put a little sand on that Round-a-Bout and see what happens your your buddies 85mph. I'd say your speeds would come much closer together.

I rode some very tight twisties with my brother. He has an FJR (and he new the road). I was working hard to keep up with him and I suspect he was taking it easy on me.

But we hit some turns where sand had washed out into the road and it was all I could do to keep from running him over! I did not need to slow down but he sure did.

I just did the shocks and springs and have the sway bar, just like everyone states, handles like its on rails. NO REGRETS, well worth the expense.

Oh yea! I just got back from TN where we rode the devils triangle NW of Knoxville. The road is covered in coal gravel. I was having a blast and the bikes were white knuckled!

I installed the sway bar a while back and it's good, but i recently installed car tires, michelin exalta's, and that made a huge difference. I would do the tires first, steers easier, much more responsive, they balance better, you'll be happy

Thanks for all the replies everyone. It is great to be able to come out here and get so many opinions, yet at the same time most agree that all of these are good upgrades to do. I will most likely end up doing all 3 things eventually, I will just have to take my time.

I called Two Brothers yesterday about the Juice Box Pro. They were supposed to be released April 5, but were delayed due to a quality control issue and the R&D team wanted to sort it out. They do not have a definite delivery date as of yet, but they have been told it will be very soon. I would like to get as much performance out of the engine as I can, before moving on to the suspension components. After all, most of the "testing" only requires straight line driving. :D

anti sway bar came today and boy did i miss it!!!
i can turn at decent speed again without worrying about wheels lifting up.:D:D:D
RT shocks and hid and i am done done done with mods.
i will get the falken ze512 for front when it's time.

engineer from dynojet's home office is flying down soon to work on my spyder to find the fix for the glitch. i am guessing it's the same glitch they are having with power commander.

I maxxed out the stock front shocks and set the rear with one step from max and run 20 lbs in the front tires. I still wanted a flatter ride so I got the sway bar from Ken at Evoluzione and now it's just right. When it comes time for new shocks I'll go with the IKON units.

Tripod :joke:

These sound like some famous last words. :D

I am sure it is, as Magic Man posted in another thread they are being produced by the same group and just re-branded for the different sellers of them. Hopefully they will get it resolved very soon. What trouble are you currently having with your Power Commander set up?

yea dynojet is making jb pro and it's the o2 sensor.
that's why it was never introduced. it's throwing error message here and there. it clears by turning off and on but people here at las vegas R&D can not get rid of it so they are flying in a engineer from main office.

as far as mods goes, i know people have said that before but i am done!!! after hid and shocks. oh and the rear shock.
even with this little bit of new found power, i am all over the road when i give it rip.
nobody found suitable alternative to expensive shock on the rear, right?

after the shocks, i am gonna ryde this to the ground till new RS model comes out. i thought about getting a 2010 RS(my 09 already has 33000 miles) after i gave up on the RT but i am sure new RS is on the horizon.:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:

Sounds like a good plan to me. I am hoping to ryde my Spyder until it just won't go anymore, and then possibly seeing what other type of power plant might fit in the frame. However, when it comes to that time I will probably just end up buying a newer model as well. :D

The only things I know of for the rear shocks are the air ones, or Elka, Ikon, and I think someone said Penske as well. :dontknow:

ahhhhh...
i don't know if i wanna spend a 1000 bucks on one shock.

No money tree in your yard either huh? :dontknow: Guess there is no sense in me looking there then. :D

That is good to know as well, thanks for sharing that info.

no money tree, heck i don't even have a yard.:(:D
i went out to distribute flyers for our may ryde and it turned out to be a 5 hour ryde. spyder is so much more fun and joy to ryde with anti sway bar on. i just ryde and ryde to nowhere and finally came back home to grab golf clubs. spyder just takes me to that happy place.

We live on 5 acres with plenty of trees all around us, just not that particular type. :D

Perhaps it is time to give up golf, as I heard that has a habit of sucking money out of a wallet as well. :roflblack:

We got a decent little ryde in today, which was a good thing as bad weather is supposed to be on the way for the next few days now.

you could play cheap golf or expensive golf. i choose cheap most of the time. i just came back from hawaii and kapalua was best course ever and that WAS worth all of 160 bucks.

if anyone is looking to get anti swaybar and free flowing muffler, Evo is having a sale. 595 bucks for bar and the leo vince muffler. a really good deal. wish that was offered couple of weeks ago:mad:
