There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I was getting ready to order a set of 2011 front RT shock springs and noticed on BRP parts list on 2010 and 2011 on BRP site that Springs
Part # 706000676 are the same on both models the last time I checked,
Does anyone have any new info on this. I have replaced my front shock assy on my 2010 RT-S with custom made shocks I built from shock parts
ordered from PROGRESSIVE SUSPENSION out of CA. and I am still evaulating them and they are super heavy duty units with progressive shock spring rates and so far are doing well but still want to try 2011 springs to compare performance on RT.

You'll need the 2011 RT shock body if you're putting them on a RT and you'll need the 2010 shock body if you're putting them on the RS. As far as we can tell the spring is the same for both years.

OK I see where shock body only pn# has changed on 2011 rt shock assy.
BTW I recently traded in my 2008 PE#193 GS on 2010 PE# 305 RT-S so this is for RT only mods. thanks...

I spoke with the mechanic at the closest Spyder dealer last Friday while getting some parts. He said the 2011 RT has had a brace of some sort added to the front end to reduce body roll as well as a change in shocks. Anyone know more detail on this?

I didn't see anything new in the parts diagram, and the sway bar part number is still the same.

:agree:
My guess is he saw the parts that were added to the RS motor mounts and figured it was for the RT. I was in the meeting when they told us what all the upgrades were and that wasn't one of them.

Question

I priced the 2011 rt shock springs today and now wonder if they will fit on the 2009 stock front shocks on an RS? The front end needs something really bad as you know and money is limited.

If you don't have the aftermarket sway bar, I recommend doing that before changing the shocks. They both help but the sway bar will do more for you than the shocks if you can't do both.

The RT shocks should fit fine. For a bargain, keep an eye out here, they show up frequently. Better yet, contact Len at Cowtown for a deal on a take-off set.
