• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT service

I had my 2014 RTs serviced the second time at 14,300 miles. It now has 20,200. Should it be serviced again? If not, when? I've got conflicting information on this. My oil level is good, but the oil is getting dark.

There is a current thread running with the "technical" information.

Bottom line. Initial break-in oil change 3000 miles. Subsequent oil changes at 9,300 miles later (12,300), and then 9,300 mile intervals OR once a year. You have 6,000 miles on your current--if you are not at a year since last, you still have 3,000 driving more miles.

If you now have 20,000+ on your Spyder you should replace the air and fuel filters. You will find the schedule on pg. 122 of your Operator's Guide. The instructions for changing the air filter are on pg. 127 if you want to try it yourself. The fuel filter is not hard to do but takes a bit more time than the air filter and requires a pair of special special pliers if you are going to use the Oetiker clamps that come with the fuel filter assembly. The instructions are in the RT service manual. Doc Humphreys has videos on replacing both filters at this site: http://dochumphreys.wixsite.com/roadster/install.
