There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2010 RT Shifting Trouble - any ideas?

I have a 2010 RTM and I noticed while I'm driving as time goes on the shifting becomes more difficult. I check my fluid and it looks to be at a good level. Side question since there is no level indicator, how high should the fluid be filled up to? Also today when I went for a quick ride and checked my fluid when I got home I noticed the rubber gasket seemed swollen/larger and wouldn't properly fit back in the reservoir.

Hmmm, RTM?? Is that an RT with the 'Music' package?? No? ;). I guess I should take it that you have a 2010 RT SM5, a MANUAL RT Spyder; and the fluid that you're talking about is the clutch fluid??

If this is the case, and if you've changed your clutch fluid at some time in the last few years so it's not all that likely to have absorbed too much water to work properly &/or swell any of the seals/gaskets... :cautious: then I hafta ask - have you checked your engine oil level &/or changed the oil and filters recently??

These Rotax motors are dry sump motors that use a wet clutch system, so the same oil that serves the engine ALSO serves the clutch AND the gearbox! If you are low on engine/trans oil, one of the first signs can be difficulty changing gears; and if your oil is old &/or the wrong oil, one of the first signs can be difficulty changing gears... 😖

So you might want to at least check your engine/trans oil (following the correct checking procedure ;)) to make sure that the oil level is at least mid-way between the Add and Full mark - BUT DO NOT OVER-FILL!! Like all dry sump motors, these things are very tolerant of low oil levels, but they really don't like to be over-filled!

Good Luck.

So I feel like a dipstick (pun intended). I checked the oil and found it was all the way at the full level according to the hashmarks on the dipstick (See Photo). So I decided to drain the oil and put some new oil in at not a 100% level. I just happened to flip the dipstick over when I saw the real Full and Add levels (See Photo). So basically I had my oil level way overfilled. So after changing the oil and putting the proper level of fluid problem resolved. Thanks for info!
