• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT SE5 question

Today on my lunch break from work I rode approximately 10 miles when my 2011 RT-S would not shift until it reached 5,000 RPM's and when down shifting automatically or manually it would rev up in such a manner that it would surge forward dramatically that it scared the heck out me. Any idea what could cause this behavior? The RT has 5,755 at this time and I plan on making an appointment for the 6,000 mile check and take care of the problem at the same time. I would like to have an idea as to the cause of the problem to advise the tech as to what to look for. Thanks

Thanks for the input guys, Lamont was correct The RT was on trailer mode but I can't figure out how it jumped onto trailer mode on its own. I was ryding along as I normally do and everything seem fine, ten miles into the ryde thats when everything started to happen. The RT has never been set to trailer mode before and I do not do any towing for lack of a hitch and/or trailer. After disengaging the trailer mode things appear to be normal once again. I'll try to get it to the shop next week for the 6,000 mile service.

Glad to hear that it's something that is easily found and fixed!
The dang "Button Fairies" must have been tap dancing on your mode and select buttons...
