• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ride hard, ride safe:firstplace:

Took a 200 mile ride today and was pleased with the RT-S. Temps here in the Houston area started out in the 40's and topped out in the 60's with bright sunny skies. Rode with a bunch of folks that do the twisties with break neck speed. Even on two wheels I was never much on "peg scraping":lecturef_smilie:, but in any event, I'm still in the breakin period, so I wasn't interested in setting any land speed records. I didn't want to push it speed wise, but the handling is really different than the RS. Road conditions seemed to affect the RT more than the RS...crowns, asphalt ruts, etc. It was a different "feel" and maybe that is due to suspension and spring settings...don't know, but it obviously calls for some experimentation. Wind protection, seat comfort and hand warmers are outstanding. Still mistified with the trunk release toggle...I've never gotten it to work. I can open it manually like the GS and that's it. Taking it in to the dealer Tuesday to see if they can remedy the problem....maybe it's due to the fact that I haven't put the gremlin bell on yet!:dontknow:

After I get the 600 mile check in I'll be ready to do some long distance riding, but I think I've made a wise choice in trading in the GS for the RT.
