• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT-RS? HAVE YOU OWN BOTH AND....

PhotoShop Master
which do you like better ...and why? ... i havent got a chance to test drive an RT yet (because BRP had a cruel joke to us by releasing them in the dead of winter and my dealer wont let me take it till roads are clear) i do a lot of riding next month will be 2 years and i havent missed a month of riding yet .... my only concern with selling mine and buying RT is that i like to ride it like i stole it ... i like the rush of power at take off ... and don't know if i will get that from the RT... and i really like my spyder... but the RT does have all the tech stuff i like and being a gadget hound that makes me wonder if i could go for tech over speed ,,,, any input would be thankful :D:coffee:

You know how I like to ride. :D I would say the RT is just as much fun when you get use to it. I did three back to back runs on Deals Gap and was able to get through the turns faster than my GS/RS. The RT doesn't have the "cool :doorag: " factor of the RS but you're so cool without the Spyder it won't really matter. :D:thumbup:

Remember that each bike was built for different types of ryding, the RS for the sport ryder, the RT for the guy that likes to tour and is in the saddle (generally) longer then the sport ryder.

I found that the racing and cornering of the RS is clearly better than the RT that was not designed to be ridden like the RS.

So which bike really depends on how you really want to do most of your ryding and each bike gives something up something that the other bike does not have.

The decision is up to you and what style you do most of your riding.

For me I loved the RS but I turned it in to a tour bike and used it as one, here comes the RT and it has everything that I had done to RS and more - so I favor the RT and wish that when the RT5 program is over for me in Sept. that I can afford one.

Make a reasonable decision based on your ryding a spyder forever or until you hit 100K.

Good luck :2thumbs:

I have owned both a GS and RT. I really liked my GS but I absolutely love the RT. It my opinion the RT is alot more comfortable. I spent alot of money adding accessories such as a corbin saddle, highway pegs and pull back bars to my GS and never was able to get it exactly perfect for my body. The RT fits me perfectly. Almost as if they measured my body like a taylor would when fitting someone for a new suit. I know everybody has different tastes and body configurations but IMO the RT is da bomb!:ohyea:

We have all three SE, SM and RT.

Unfortunatly we have the RT all apart right now we never even got a chance to ride it as the speedo still reads 0 miles. Right now it job in life is as a design platform for making new RT items, and with the snow abd cold here it may be awhile befor we do get to ride it.

But I'm sure it is going to be like Lamonster said, fun but different.

Now if spring would only get here.

We have i each Sm & RT-S. I like both bikes - Baby and I run in tandem almost everywwhere. She really likes to take off from standing starts - I make her lead so I don't get run over - she has the semi-auto so she shifts faster than I do but I can corner faster than she can. Pretty much even on straight away streets. (funny thing if I;m leading she tells me to slow down we're going to fast but when she leads we average 10-15 mph faster - so guess who leads the most). In short we like both bikes but Baby likes the semi-auto because if her small hands and I like to shift - so its preferences preferences preferences.:chat::chat::chat:
