• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. RT Rear Shock

I see plenty of praise for the the Front ELKA shocks that has convinced me that is the way I am going to go. My question is what about the rear; I finally convinced my service department that the OEM was bad and it took them 23 days to order and install (assuming they give it back to me today as promised). So are ELKA'a all around the true answer to RT shock heaven. Appreciate any insight or comments.

Thanks
Tony

Not to hijack your thread. How many RT owners have the Elka rear shock installed and would you do it again?

I do and Yes

I'm running the Elka 1Way+ in the front and the Elka 2Way+ in the rear and they have improved the ride and handing. Because of the way I ordered them I was able to run the rear setup for a couple of weeks before getting the front shocks and yes it is as close to shock heaven as I feel you can get and a whole lot better than the factory shocks.

I have the Elkas up front and well worth the $. My rear OEM shock went bad also and did not want to put the same #$%^@ shock back on so I ordered the one for the RS-S rear for a lot less than the rear Elka and love it. Not sure how it compares to the Elka but is much heavier than the RT shock due to the fact it has to do all the work and the RT has air bag assist.
The RS and RS-S rear shock will both work but the RS-S has a little heavier spring set-up. (one heavy spring compared to the duel spring of the RS).

Seeing how I did not get my Spyder back today an facing the runaround from the dealer, I will be ordering all three and having someone else put them on.

How hard is the rear shock installation?

Thanks
