There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I tried that once and she's STILL got me beggin' for forgiveness over that one... :gaah:
I've only got to get hit across the nose with a rolled-up newspaper about fourteen times before I get the idea that something's not quite right...

She is just too good of a shot for taking that chance... Her antics with a Glock 19 at a Police 12 yard, B-27 "Target Day" are still legendary!

RT - Performance

Had the stage 2 performance package installed on our Rt-S in November and we are very happy with the results. We have seen an improvement in handling and mpgs. Fun to ride. Len and his group are awesome to deal with, they practice what they preach about customer service.

Ok, let's say I sign up for the stage 2 to be installed at spyderfest. How long will it take and do I get a loaner?

I had miy RT done in Oct while on vacation and had the Elkas added as well. My worst mileage on that trip was better than I had every gotten before. I added 3-6 mpg and the performance and sound are wonderful! My hubby doesn't fit on my Spyder because of his bad knees (damn the bad luck!) but when he loaded it on our trailer to take it for serivice he couldn't believe the change in torque.

We posted the Dyno results a while back as well. I am thrilled with what we had done and thanks to Elka Shocks the twisties are a blast again.

Len for folks in the boonies with no high speed internet a CD or written instructions would be good.

I had concerns when I was talking with Len about his RT Performance Package. I was not interested in putting any type of tuner on Barbwire’s RT and had a bigger concern with the sound of the new exhaust. Len assured me that I would not have to put any type of tuner on the Spyder and was sure that the exhaust note would not be too loud, as that was a concern. Len and Dan both assured me that there would be no issue with backfiring/popping on deceleration. Even though I was still a little skeptical we made an appointment with Dan at Cowtown to have the work done at the front end of out vacation and to share in the Fall ride with Cowtown down to Branson. Upon completion of the stated modifications we found Len and Dan’s statements as to the performance of the RT Performance Package to be spot on. Barbwire has put over 3K miles on her Spyder since the work and has not experienced any negative performance issues. Drivability has improved as well as an improvement in fuel mileage 3 to 5 miles per gal depending on driving conditions, speed, and wind. With that said I still had a concern as to the fuel/air mixture being within limits. I wanted to make sure that with the modification we did not create a lean air mix condition. Drivability and performance did not indicate an issue I just wanted to make sure, that was the reason for the Dyno You might want to give Len a call and discuss your issues with him; he and his service department team seem to have a handle on what they are doing. As stated it takes all the parts to get the performance gains.

will this affect the warranty? I would be interested in doing this at Spyderfest but could get down there earlier since I am only two or three hours away, how long does it take to do the upgrade?
I only asked online because I know others will have the same questions and this would give everyone the anwsers

What is the Additive you mentioned including with the kit ? Most fibreglas packed mufflers gradually become louder over time/mileage but the Two Bros can supposedly be repacked using the kit they sell. My Two Bros RT muffler with just over 6000 miles has become much louder than originally.

Does repacking these bring them back to a quieter, mellow level ? What is the cost of having one repacked ?

Hey there big fencepost, I'm coming to Spyderfest and planning on having the Stage 1 kit put on my RT. Plan on coming in on Monday and staying at the old Motel 6. Where are you guys staying? Looking forward to seeing you and doing some more Spyder River Crossing again.

Have Dual Two Bros. Took Spydee to a shop with the packing kit and it cost $150 for the repack. The sound went from a higher pitch, to a deeper rumble. The way she originally sounded.

Two Bros recommends repacking every 3k. Well, Spydee got her first repack at 12k, and half of the packing was still good. At 25k now and Hubby hasn't :cus: about her pipes yet, so all's well until he does.

While your pipes are off, have them check the "Y" gaskets. Especially the right one. Replace them with Honda gaskets. They last longer and you'll have a cooler ryde...

John, we will be there on Monday as well, will be staying at the Supper 8. You are going to love the Stage 1 Kit. We had the Stage 2 put on Brenda’s in October and what a difference in performance and drivability. Looking forward to riding with you again, let’s look for bigger water crossing.

I already have Elkas on my RT, so that's just 1 less thing to have to buy this year. Looking forward to seeing you and Brenda. Sure, the bigger the water the better. I've spent much of my life in deep water.

Len,

Does Cowtown sell all the parts of the RT Performance package separately? I already have performance plugs and wires and green air filter. I would really like my RT to have a better exhaust tone but I am concerned the Two Brothers will be too loud. I am intrested in the exhaust maybe with a noise reducer tip, if not to loud, and the cold air intake. Can you give a breakdown of prices if each component was purchased seperately?
