• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Limited is finally Here!!!

Went to my local Spyder dealer after work today to find out if there was any news on when my RT Limited would be here. Glen, my salesman, smiled when I walked in and said I was ruining his surprise. He had planned on having everything installed, polished and ready to go before calling me. He took me back to the service area where I got my first look. The new pearl white is beautiful. Glen introduced me to Dan the technician working on the roadster. They figured I would be able to pick it up by Thursday or Friday. I can hardly wait. After having a GoldWing for the last six years, the RT should be quite different.

Congrats on the Limited :spyder2: and I know you'll enjoy it as much as I do mine, ride SAFE !! :ohyea:

:congrats: I was also Goldwinger until a couple weeks ago - traded in my '07 wing for a new Spyder RT-S. Having been a biker all my life and spending my last 18,000 miles on a two-wheeled Cadillac/Porsche (Goldwing), I was a little skeptical about the Spyder idea (my wife had a lot of bearing on "our" decision:shemademe_smilie:). I've only been able to log about 200 miles on the Spyder so far so the jury is still out on how I feel about it. If I had the coin and more room in the garage I would have liked to have both. Both machines have advantages & disadvantages, good points & not-so-good points. One thing I have discovered about the RT is touchy steering especially noticable at highway speeds. I don't have a real relaxed feeling as yet. Also, the engine speed/RPMs at 65mph is significantly higher than a wing which probably has a lot of bearing on fuel economy plus you're pushing 3 big tires instead of 2. Don't get me wrong (and I hope I'm not getting your hopes down), the Spyder seems like it is going to be a lot of fun, it has a lot of cool features and I am looking forward to getting used to it.

:welcome::congrats: Picked mine up last Wed. Still chroming it out . And then all the ESI light stuff And then my corbin seat if it ever comes .

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

:congrats: and :welcome:. Two totally different machines. Don't try to steer the :f_spider:, relax your grip and "go with the flow".

The " The Pearl" is finally in the Garage!!

I was finally able to bring my 2011 RT Limited, here after known as "The Pearl", home. The weather here in northwestern Minnesota has been absolutely :cus: this spring. Today started out damp and cool but I didn't care. Easter is supposed to hit the sixties with sunshine. Bring it on!!! With only thirty miles on The Pearl, I know this purchase was the right thing :ohyea:. This ride is something else and :2excited: I can hardly wait to go some more.

We went to our dealership today and finished writing the checks and signed all the papers. The Limited is ours now. Hopefully the weather will be decent enough by Tuesday afternoon to pick it up, otherwise it will be Wednesday before we take delivery. Still have to wait for the Corbin stuff to arrive, but the trailer hitch should be installed and ready to go. Oh, yeah, the trailer is not ready, but that is no big hurry right now.

:welcome::congrats:I picked my limited up two weeks ago and also have 300 miles on it and I'm coming from HD which have 100K between the two bikes and I'm just starting to feel good on the spyder. So hang in there and enjoy.
