• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Covers

Does anyone know if this BRP-made RT travel cover would fit the RS with a rear passenger bag? I like this one better than the Nelson Rigg cover.

it fits perfectly in the bottom under the shelf plus I have room for raingear on top of that barely then the cover shelf and the rear top bag.

Just another option.

Dowco Guardian Ultralite XL.

I salvaged this from my Honda ST1100, but a new one would cost about $50

Here is a shot of the cover in its storage case compared to the Spyder outdoor cover, and another shot of the cover over my RT. I had to make one small modification, a hole in the back to make room for the antenna.
If I get around to it, I'll sew in a grommet so the antenna hole doesn't grow.

Glad I found this. I like it. Thank you.

Yes Nancy's Toy, the third cover down is the one I got but so far I cannot make it fit as it is shown here. I copied the photos so I can take them out to the bike to see what I am doing wrong. Thanks for the help,

Randy

Be sure to put it on in the right order. The Outdoor Cover needs to have the rear flap unzipped first, then you put the front in place, cover the rest, and zip up the flap last thing. If you received the instructions with the cover, they explain the proper sequence.

Am I missing something?

....BRP switched the cover included with the RT-S....

Forgive my ignorance but I am just trying to determine if I did not get something I was supposed to when I bought my 2011 RT-S a year ago that I later ended up buying becuause I needed it. Is the RT-S SUPPOSED to come with ANY kind of cover? I thought only the RT Limited came with a cover? So says the BRP site so I never even thought of it until I saw this post today.

You're more than welcome!
When I bought my A&C, I wanted an RTS... Color considerations limited my choice! :gaah: But I did spend a fair amount of time discussing the diferences between the 2 models with the salesman...

Unfortuneatley the seller niether sent the instructions or the storage pouch. Get what you pay for, lol....

I lowered the windshield to give a bit more slack but I will have to keep trying.

Thanks

Scotty,
Again... Thanks again for all of this very useful information! :firstplace:
You always show up at the table with a full platter to serve to the rest of us!
And now I know that I've got the Outdoor cover...
