• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Cover?

I ordered a 2011 RT-S. My dealer says it comes with a cover. I read, but can not find, where someone said the 2010 came with a cover, but the 2011 does not. If you have a 2011, did you get a cover?

My dealer says the 2011 RTS does not come with a cover, just the Limited. They confirmed this after receiving their first shipment of 2011s. The 2010s came with the Outdoor Cover, rather than the Travel Cover they advertised. This is a larger, more expensive cover, but it is huge, and hard to store on the Spyder for a road trip. I purchased the Travel Cover P/N 219400199. To quote Goldilocks, it is "just right!" Comparison of RT covers.

I bought the RT full cover before receiving my 2010 RT-S, also thinking that the travel cover wouldn't be enough for staying outside in San Antonio. I then received the mid-size cover and moved to Ohio, so I now garage the Spyder and only use the mid-cover on the road. I don't use the BRP bag with it, though, as it fits nicely into those widely-available string backpacks that you can pick up as a promotional item at conventions, conferences, cell-phone kiosks, etc. I then wrap a velcro cinch strap around it and toss it into a side bag, where it takes up less than half the space. Still not optimal, but I'm a fan of concealment in the hotel parking lots.

+1 for travel cover. its just right to cover up the bike and it rolls up nicely to fit into the bottom third of the rear trunk. add rain gear on top and then shelf and top bag and its nice fit... the mid cover takes way too much space to bring on the road.
