• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

rt bars to rs sm5 handlebar swap

i wanted to post this in case anyone wants to know, first a big thanks to PW2013STL for the bars, he sent me a set of bars with the plastic covers for just postage, i put them on yesterday evening when i got them, i won't go in to all the details since it has been covered just what i haven't found posted, first the bars are approx. 2" higher and 4 1/2" farther back than stock, wire length and clutch line length is no problem , BUT, when i tried to put the left bar on, the line bolt {banjo bolt} on the clutch master cylinder hit the bar, i had to loosen the clutch master cylinder and turn it down a bit to clear, and had to loosen the line and turn it to clear, its still a tight fit and the cylinder sits actually half way up under the housing so i had to trim off some of the plastic cover to fit, the banjo bolt on the cylinder sits right on top of one of the holes for the cover, so i ended up with 3 bolt holes on the cover, looked fine and worked fine when done, i haven't seen anything about this swap with a 5 speed so i wanted to share this.

Few more details would be helpful please like, were the bars from same year as what replaced?:nopic:

here are the new bars and pics of the cutout where the clutch cylinder sits

Thanks - mirrors - hmmmmm bad. and position is like changing a RS into a lazyboy!

yeah mirrors give a good look at your hands, still better than being humped over though,i may try to do something to give them a little more outward turn when i'm bored sometime, or even try to switch sides so they turn down more, if that will even work. if i had a flat seat now that wasn't slanted forward i would be almost as comfortable as my road king.

yours does look flatter, mine pitches you forward a bit i guess to match the crotch rocket style position you're supposed to be in with the stock bars.
