We have a 2012 RT. and would like to get the plug that comes with the GPS mount kit
but do not need the mount just the plug. We want it so we have the power on and off
with the key and audio plug also. Now we have it to the 12v plug for the battery tender
and use the audio plug in the trunk. It works but could run the battery down if GPS gets
left on and we have to stop and change from GPS/xm raidio to use the i-pod. I talked with
some dealers in our area and they said you have to buy the whole kit. But we made our
own mount and used the old GPS \ xm off my Harley on her Canam when We got a new one
for the Harley. The old GPS is dated but the xm works fine. A wireing diagram for the audio
plug would be great then I can just tap into the wires. Thanks Jim and Vickie
The plug that comes with the GPS kit hooks into the audio box in the right rear of the bike. And it has a hot, ground and audio plug that you tap your GPS into, saw a picture of it in a
acc catalog but the dealer cant sell just the plug.
