• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. RT-622 Water Management Kit

Got to see one installed on a 2011 trailer. The light was really bad so the pics aren't that great but you'll get the idea.

Water drains here.

Then down here.

Then out the side in the wheel well area. I must say it's a really clean fix to the water issue. :doorag:

Is this water management system goig to be available for 2010 RT-622s and if so what will the cost be?

It should be a warranty repair at no cost to you. The kits are not in yet but I would let your dealer know that you want this.

:agree: but do you think it will actually be a "warranty" issue?

The drain itself does not affect the operational dynamics of the trailer so I wonder if BRP will eat the cost of modifying past models.

If you recall we had the same discussion about BRP modifying the bikes shocks to the new "beefier shock" that is on the 2011 models. The general consensus was BRP can "modify" their equipment without it being required to "modify" past models thus we current owners eat the shock modification cost.

Personally I think for the money we spent on our "Factory Trailer", our personal gear inside it had better not get wet simply because we open it. nojoke

I thought it was interesting that they call it a "replacement part" in the new catalog then say that it is standard on 2011's. $69.99 seems awfully high to me. I vote for it being a warranty repair ;)

BRP previously announced that they would make this kit available to 2011 RT-622 owners at no cost. It will be considered to be a "warranty repair".

Scotty I have a 2-BIG questions then:

1) Why would BRP list a warranty part in their accessories catalog versus in the parts manual (no price just a PN) where it belongs?

2) Has anyone seen anything in writing from BRP saying installation of this item is covered under warranty or is it all speculation for now? :dontknow:

I have no clue why they would list it in the catalog. You would need to ask someone in Sherbrooke. After a certain period of time, it would not be available as a warranty item, anyway, so it does make some sense. We all have to be patient to see what develops. Many of the listed accessories will not be available immediately, anyway...if past performance is any indication.

The announcement I saw was on the home page of SpyderTalk. It said that 2010 RT-622 trailer owners would recieve a letter indicating they can have this fix applied to their trailer. I don't know the specific source, but I would expect this information to be accurate, since the announcement was released with BRP's blessing and approval. Patience, Grasshopper. All this will become clear in time. :D

I'm not Scotty but we were told that current RT-622 owners would have these added at no cost to the owner.

My guess as to why they are listed to buy would be if you damaged one you could replace it at your cost.

This new fix is a much better fix than the old way. :D

Stopped by my dealer today. Gave him the part number and he is going to order it for me and get it under warranty. I also needed the clear protection cover for the front and the rock guard. Mine were peeling off a little. Gotta love the 2 year warranty on these trailers.

Checked with Tampa Motorsports, they called BRP and were told that it is NOT a warranty item for 2010 models, and must be purchased and the install paid for. Doesn't sound like I'm getting the whole story.

I was told by my dealer that BRP is not treating the water management kit as a warranty repair. Each owner will have to buy the kit.
