• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT-622 Trailer

2012 RT-622 trailer trunk will not stay closed and pops open immediately on movement. There are so many adjustments that I hardly know where to start. The movable keeper that latches the mushroom plunger seems to only extrude the hole by less than 1/16 " of an inch. Lid will not latch at all now. Did a search on here and nothing came up dealing with this issue. Cannot find a fishe on this latch to try and figure it out. Any help would be welcome.

Went out and looked at mine and the movable keeper is about the same, my suggestion is that you loosen the finial that goes into it and turn it about a 1/2 turn, the area on the finial might be worn in the current spot that the latch catches on.

Is one of your cables sticking?? May need to lube them up.. Not sure if you have your trailer manual but shows you the latches and cables.

Latch

Clean and lube the latch mechanism. Lube the cables. Try to determine if anything broke. If you can see the catch move when you pull the handle, then adjust the post. Probably dirt!
Or just bring it up. I can fix it! 😄

Jack, here is the pin height adjustment info from my 2010 RT622 Service Manual.

Start with a pin height set at 22.5mm (.886 in)
for the front cover.
2. Start with a pin height set at 26mm (1.024 in)
for the rear cover.
3. Adjust pin to obtain a proper seal compression
around cover.
4. Verify proper latch operation.
NOTE: A loose pin height adjustment will promote
water intrusion and might make the cover
rattle when trailer is moving.
NOTE: A pin mounted too tight will prevent cover
from closing securely or make it very difficult to
open

Thanks for the advice all. I bought it used and have no manual. Going to get on it Thursday and will try all suggestions.
