Anyone out there replace the gasket seal on there RT-622 trailer? Main lid got stuck to gasket and the top rubber part came off on one side. Dealer does not think he can get the part. If not has anyone tried to glue the rubber seal back down to the hard lip liner? If so what did you use for glue? If you purchased a new gasket what was the part number and where did you find it?

Thanks, Jack

Just ordered 2 sets of trailer seals from JT'S machine shop. He is a sponsor for spyderlovers. They are a little thicker than the originals and only cost 50.00 for both front and back seals.

Thanks, found them finally on BRP parts. Have to order a minimum of three? Seal for front lid can be ordered separately. Three (minimum order) for the rear lid and one for the front shipped is $126.93. Shipping and handling is $32.97. Not in stock now and not sure if they will be available.

Had trunk lid adjusted a couple months ago and when I opened it the neoprene seal stuck to the lid and partially pulled off. For myself and others some type of seal lubricant should be used it appears to prevent this. Not sure what to use. Used to have sealer lubricant for the seals around the door to my airplane but cannot find it. Any suggestions what to use that will prevent adhering and not deteriorate the neoprene? Was thinking a coat of good old "vaseline".

Use a silicon oil. Spray on a rag or paper towel and wipe on the contact surface of the seal. No overspray that way. It will dry in seconds. No mess and will not stain clothes.

Also great for your cage so the doors won't freeze shut in the winter.

Super glue has worked fine for me on several occasions. Then wipe with a silicone lube to keep it from sticking to the lid.

Spyderpops has a good one, just replaced mine yesterday, about $45 for a complete set, front and rear

Don't recommend Vaseline

I would not recommend Vaseline. My understanding is that it is petroleum based and therefore not a good product to have in contact with rubber. You would be better served with silicone spray on a rag and then wipe seals.
