• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2011 rt Spyder manual. With 9,300 miles I need three tires and a battery. Does this sound logical. Anyone out there that can confirm that these should be needed with only 9000 miles

Battery gone bad - between 3 and 4 years old: Check!
Rear tire worn out - 9000 miles: Check!
Front tires worn out - 9000 miles: Oops, something doesn't seem quite right. Better get a laser alignment on the new ones! They should be good for close to twice that!

who says..?? Could be...Generally you will need close to two rear tires to one set of fronts. Batteries can last from 2 to 7 years or more depending on the treatment. Mileage on the tires will vary on the many variables. :thumbup:
 
I had a 2010 RT S and replaced the battery in 2014. It didn't give up but seemed a little week at times upon starting (I did keep it on a tender 80% of the time). with all of the electronics involved and the problem low voltage can cause I just changed it out of caution. As far as the tires go, I had 25,000 on the fronts at trade in and they still looked good with 4 or 5 thousand left in them. The back, 9 or 10 on the average, maybe a little more.
 
I agree with WasWinger; the front tires may have dies prematurely, but everything else is just about on schedule... :thumbup:
An alignment and some accurate tire balancing up front, will definitely save you money in the long run! nojoke
 
My 2011 RTS I had to replace the battery just a month ago. It was not gone but going and I did not want to get stranded somewhere.

2010 RT with 40,000+ miles still on the original front tires. They are worn some but not badly. Replaced the original rear tire at 9,040 miles. I gave the OEM Yuasa battery to the mechanic that put it together so he would go to the extra trouble of replacing it with a new Odyssey. It's 5 years old this month and still starts it right up. I put a battery tender on it when I think of it, maybe 25% of the time.

We have a 2011 RT purchased new in 2012. Replaced the front tires last summer at 13K. A bit early for me, but in the ballpark for most. New tire going on the rear Wednesday. 16.9K miles. Better than usual there. The battery instantly fired the 2011 up after a 5+ month sleep. It is looking like I am going to wait one more season on the battery. It goes on a tender for the winter sleep.

You are in the ballpark so I would not worry.

This really sounds about right. Some will get more than others but this is in the ballpark. Laser Alignment really pays for itself.

My rear tire wore out at 12,000 miles. I now have 20,000 mile on my 2012 RT. About 4000 more miles I'll need to replace the rear tires it again. The front tires still look great. I only use the battery tender during winter storage.
