• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have an RS that was made in the latter half of 2010. For your prospective bike, make sure it had the DPS recall performed and the new gas cap installed. Also, check that the vent hose on the evaporator canister has been re-routed farther away. From what I have learned, about halfway through the 2010 year, BRP started to re-route that hose.
For me, I have had no issues that require putting the bike in the shop. If you are interested in a newer model, be sure you research any issues with that particular year and model and look into getting an extended warranty.

Thank you.

I put this thread here yesterday, and today already bought the machine. Date on the sticker is 05/10. So I have to check those recalls.

thanks again, for help.

You'll love the 2010 RS, that's what I have. Never a problem.

:congrats: on your new ryde. I note that you are in Slovokia. Other than the DPS and evap cannister hose, I do not recall hearing anything bad about the 2010 RS. I have a 2010 RT-S and am very happy with it. No major problems other than the recalls mentioned.

Enjoy your RS.

Congrats..!!

Look at the Madstad windshield. I just bought a 10 model myself. I also installed risers on mine, run turn brake module. Got a Utopia backrest at the house waiting for me to get home and install it.

I'm not sure just what might be available over where you live. We have quite a few members in here that live in Great Britain; perhaps they can help you to learn more about what aftermarket parts can be found over by you.
Good Luck!

Here is a link to BRP's website that shows recall information for all models of the Spyder Roadster.

http://www.spyder.brp.com/owner-center/recall-informations

Each recall listed will specify which model of roadster it pertains to.
