• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RS/ST panels

I'm hoping someone can help. I'm looking to buy 2 carbon panels from the USA for my ST Ltd, they are the lower panels with the vents in for the radiator. They are listed for the RS and I'm 95% sure they are the same on the ST, just need someone to confirm this before I go ahead and order them, I'm in New Zealand so it a long way if you get things wrong.
These are the panels.

Don't know..!!

but if you are about to order them check the part numbers. If they are the same your good to go. Check on cheapcycleparts.com. Those who know may be along in a bit...

Part numbers

I'm ordering them from Bestem USA not Can Am/BRP so there is no cross reference for part numbers, I have tried matching the ST to RS panel numbers to see if they are the same but the numbers are different as per colour and they don't do the same colours for the ST Ltd as they do for the RSS, unless someone else knows different.

On order

I forgot all the experts in this field were at Spyderfest.
Well I couldn't wait any longer, so I've gone ahead and ordered them, all my research came to nothing, I've looked at the photo of them over and over again and I'm still convinced that they will fit my ST Ltd, hey ho if they don't what have I lost ? US$542.31, I could resell them :opps:

I cant find the company, got a link?

Are any RS the same color as any ST? I would compare that way.

I was under the impression that Bestem was made in Italy and imported into the US. Certainly some high end carbon items having been cured in a clave just indicates time was taken to be a better part.

Not sure on the fit, but all the best with it. If it did not fit, unless grossly wrong, it can be reworked with care to fit.

Bestem carbon panels

Well my panels have finally landed in New Zealand and have been cleared by customs so hopefully they will get delivered tomorrow (Friday). If they fit, which I'm 99% they will, then I'll order the Spyderpops 3D SS mesh grilles for them.
I'll post some photo's over the weekend.

WOW !

You just said you ordered 5 days ago and it's there already?

You get stuff quicker than I do in the states! :banghead:

Quick delivery

Amazon & UPS do a good job, but you pay for it, shipping cost me US$68 and import duty US$138, so it's not cheap buying all this stuff from the states, but that's the only way I can get it.
Luckily Amazon had US$150 discount on the parts that so helped with the shipping and import duty.

Bstem carbon panels

They arrived on time today around lunch time, there was a bit of nervousness on my part as I unwrapped the panels, first one out was the left hand side.
I checked it against the oem panel and all looked good, I had to enlarge the fixing holes slightly to get the clips to fit and the mounting lugs for the grille were not as flexible as the oem ones, but saying that with a bit of patience the grille fitted.

Next I unwrapped the right hand panel, again the fixing holes had to be slightly enlarged, all the locating points for the air scoop were there apart from the three that the push on clips go on, this wasn't a problem and was soon fixed with some double sided 3M foam tape, although I don't think this is absolutely necessary.

I'm really pleased with how they look. So if you have a RS or ST these panels will fit.

The jury is still out on whether to fit the Spyderpops 3D SS grilles.

Spyderpops 3D SS Grilles

I decided against the Spyderpops 3D SS grilles as the shipping was extortionate, to ship the SPY105 grilles which are the largest to New Zealand was going to cost $44, which I thought was fair, once I added the 4 small SPY106 grilles the shipping went unto $79, now that's a joke, another $35 to put 4 small metal grilles in the same parcel. NZ Post only charge a standard rate of US$11 plus US$4 per 500g to ship from the US, so the grilles would have to weigh 8.5kg to be charged the same shipping rate.
How come the shipping rate stays the same to ship one or both items with the USA ?
Your having a laugh.
