RS new windshield

I received my new windshield for my RS yesterday. I had ordered the "medium" size from Custom Dynamics.
I noticed a couple of things when I installed it: With the handlebars left "as standard" I find that my right steering lock is somewhat limited because of an interference with the clutch lever...no real big deal but prospective buyers should be aware that risers are required to maintain full lock capability. I do have risers ready to install so I am covered.
I also find that the wind noise level is greater....maybe I'm too close to the windshield but the risers will hopefully take care of that.
Has anyone any comments or suggestions...?

New windshield

When I decided the medium size windshield that was on the spyder (sm-5) was not adequit for me I made my own. I saw that the handle bar swing was going to interfere with the size of the windshield so I mounted mine to the handle bars. Know when I turn the windshield also turns. Its 30 in wide by 24 in high gives great coverage. An added plus came when I needed to mount my stereo speakers, no problem. Mike :thumbup:

There were three things I wanted to add to my bike...the sway bar, madstad, and belt vibration reducer. I just ordered and received the windshield as it's most practical as we're getting into cooler (now I should just say colder) weather...

IMHO, and the opinion of many others here, Madstad is the way to go. Three way adjustable shield and I'll almost betcha it will help your mileage...reason? I'm a sports guy and am pretty wide....the shield, being it throws the air around me, will reduce drag...very cool.
