• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice looking flag holder. I had a small flag meant for a car window on my passenger backrest but lost it on the highway. I've been looking for a replacement, went to Chinamart and they had almost no 4th of July items at all and only a handfull of cheap handheld flags. The car window flags work good with the plastic mast and is meant for the high speeds. I just had mine velcroed to the seat but not where I should have.

I took a 6 foot threaded bar and used nuts and washers to hold it onto the hitch. Then used nut, washers, and key ring clips to hold the flag on. I used a cheep flag pole from Chinamart (but flag is made in USA) cut to fit to cover the threaded bar. Worked great except the flag (even being the best they had) did not hold up good on the highway. Buddy of mine rode behind me and said the pole did not bend at all. Need to get a high wind rated flag in the future.

Can you give me the specs of the pole.... I am trying to make something for a ride this weekend and i want to make sure i have a pole that can handle the flag and wind drag. My flag is going to be a 3x4 foot flag and i will be doing a highway ride with speeds upwards of 70mph.

I am sorry I don't remember for sure what the size is I used, but think it was a 5/8 pole threaded from top to bottom that is six feet long. The main thing is to make sure the pole fits into the hole, and the cheep flag pole goes over it. It will be a tight fit over where they crease it to lock together for the cheep flag pole. I used two nuts, a large flat washer, a key ring clip, another large flat washer, and two more nuts. By doubling up the nuts it will keep them from getting loose. You might be able to use those self locking nuts with a nylon locking device for one side, but cannot put the other one on backwards. I used the two nuts on each side to keep everything even. I did this on top, and then went down to where the bottom of the flag grommet is, and did the same. Then using the same configuration I bolted it to the hitch. Next I measured the distance between the hitch and bottom clip assembly, and cut the cheep flag pole to fit between the hitch nuts and bottom grommet nuts. Repeat the same for between the bottom grommet and top grommet. Now I wish I had taken photos of the project, but it is pretty simple to do. I have attached some photos of the clips to show how it looks. The first photo is the top, the second is the middle, the third is the bottom without the bottom half set of nuts to show how big the pole is, and the fourth photo is the hitch. Like I said, the pole will not move, and I rode about 15 to 20 miles at about 70 mph. The cheep flag did not hold up good, but now that I know the pole will work I will buy a quality flag.
