RS fender brackets

Like many others have experienced, the rear fender brackets are cracked on my 2012 RSS. It is covered under warranty, but I wanted them replaced with the 2013 brackets that are reinforced to prevent the cracking. That would require a new fender so the dealer said BRP wouldn't do it under warranty. They will only replace them with the old style. Has anyone else replaced cracked brackets with the newer style?

They replaced ours with the older style brackets but we now ride with the rear fender off (license plate and light relocated). We had the same concern as you (that the replacements would also break).

well, I noticed this evening the fender is vibrating up and down so much from the broken brackets the license plate screws have been hitting the tire and taking chunks out of the tread.
