• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RS E-Brake...

Question... I am having my E-brake give me fits when trying to set it. It will not a lot of the time.

It makes no difference if I am hold the brakes on or not. It is like the "Latch" is not aligned correctly or something. Any tips?

Clean and lube the ratchet that locks the brake, if that doesn't work, make sure that it's adjusted right. There was an update done to the '08 models that fixed mine, but it still needs to be lubed.

If by E brake you mean the parking brake.....are you talking about the latch at the foot lever?

So times if a person pushes down and in towards the spider....a bit to hard...the latch will not catch...and sometimes it could bend the lever.

If your parking brake is not holding.....take it to the dealer!

When i first got mine it did just that. There is only so much adjusting of the cable before the rear wheel components need to be moved/adjusted also.:yikes:

You can loosen the rear brake housing 14mm nut?? Pull the housing off' it's on a splined shaft reinstall it a notch or two back'
There are post's on. how to do this. Hope this helps.

When adjusted properly you should feel pretty solid after two or three clicks and the bike should not be moveable by hand. If you are going past that you need to adjust at the wheel. A new cable will stretch so not uncommon to have to adjust it early on.
