RS DYI MUFFLER MOD, Rev. 'B'

here i go again...
did a 2nd OEM Muffler Mod for my '09 RS...
Rev. 'A' was a gutted n short'n version, leaving the CAT in tacked...
Rev. 'B; is also gutted n short'n, but the CAT is gone south, and added a CHERRY BOMB Glass Pack to it... OAL is the same between both Rev's... pictures are worth a 1000 words, so here:

cut at both welds; fwd & aft... removed all inner hardware... gutted the CAT... welded the CHERRY BOMB to the CAT end... cut the end of the CHERRY BOMB just aft the weld on both ends... measured n cut body using the 'mounting strap' as a guide n marked with a pencil around the entire diameter to cut a straight line... cut the body to suit my required length, cut the inner core just shy of the outter body, cleaned up all the 'matting'... reinserted the inner core, and welded the body to fwd section... welded the 'aft' section on, cleaned, buffed n painted... mounted Rev. 'B' and VAROOOOOOM...... :bowdown: :clap: :yes: :thumbup:

Very cool! Think the finish on the oem part of the muffler will hold up good now that it will see considerably less heat? Wonder if the pipe gets hot at all.

i painted it with RUSTOLEUM BBQ GRILL paint... smells like hamburgers while riding down the road, but the paint holds up n looks gr8.... :roflblack:

I did my RT muffler. It is here under "RT muffler mod". I went to a powdercoat shop & had mine ceramic coated. Looks good, cost $107.00----Budro

I'M TRY'n, I'M TRY'n......
did a good vid with my phone, but having trouble downloading it... it keeps ax'n me to download more n more software....
otherwise, it sound nice... a little too loud for me, but when i'm on my SPYD3R, i hear only good things... at rest, rev'n it up, it's a bit harsh...
