• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RS Dash Kit

RS DASH KIT UPDATED PIECES

I just received these revisions back from our dash kit manufacturer. As you can see the one section will be made up of 3 pieces like I assumed. They also added quite a few options to the kit including the vented area as well as mirror arm and more to the dash. Comments.... ?

Looks great. I'm very glad you decided to include the vent area. It looks so cheap the way BRP designed it. This should make a huge improvement.

Interested in red carbon fiber...Pete,how does this hold up in the sun?...I have seen automobile wood dashes, which looked like your Honey Burl, fade and crack in the sun ...Thanks..Also any warranty for adhesive or cracking?...thanks again
I also would not use the handlebar pieces...

 What about price....

I'm interested, but with three stipulations.......

1. Color (BRP yellow or possibly carbon fiber)
2. Looks (coverage area important)
3. Price

In this order. Included is a photo of what I'm after. I tried pinstripe, but it would not stick. I'm a picky customer yes, but if I use your product I spread the good word like cold sores after kissing Pamela Anderson. :roflblack:

Ditto for me - ride a Yellow Spyder now so Yellow will be nice, of course, the price too.

Thanks!

+1. I agree, I don't care for the lower piece. Also curious about color options (though I most likely would be looking for black carbon fiber) and pricing - could not find any info on the site.
I also agree. I have a power outlet and a fog light switch on the other side. If cutting is going to be problematic, then I'd rather not have anything in that area.

Is the CI Brushed Metal considered carbon fiber? Just wondering before I reply to your request.

Thanks

I had asked that previously; but, I believe it's a separate piece according to the template that Pete provided. I also have a powerlet outlet on each side ( 0ne below the tach and one below the speedo). Mooneych, did I misinterpret your post? If I did, let me know and I will remove.

The design of this kit is very versatile, you can install only the pieces you want. I intend to first layout the pieces and then decide whether to install them all or a subset.

I don't have currently have any power outlets installed but if I did and still wanted to install the dash piece in that section I would simply mark the area to be cut and bring it to a local machine shop. They have the tooling and knowledge to make a clean and precise cut through almost anything, even carbon fiber. Usually the price for a such a small job is reasonable. Obviously Pete can't recommend this but Spyder owners are quite clever and have resolved far more difficult problems.
