• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

OK! I finally have everything together to get these out to the riders. I know there are a few of you that have contacted me through pm and I am going to get you guys taken care of first. We are charging $55 plus shipping and tax. The information needed is what year your RS is, Your address (to calculate shipping) and your paypal info. No paypal, no problem just call us at the shop and we can run your card over the phone. (360)825-4502. I will figure out how to post some pictures (maybe IWN2RYD will help me with this) Check out his post for now there are pics there.

Corey,

Is this for the internal thingy that prevents the side front panels from moving in when you lean your thighs/knees on them?

Are there any issues with heat dissipation or anything else? Simple install, I presume?

Thanks...

Site Sponsor?

I am in fact a site sponsor. You will have to cut me some slack if my eddiquite is not proper, I am kinda new to posting on forums. My name is Corey, I am the sales manager and owners son at Clem's Enumclaw Powersports, our service manager is also on here as SPYDERJEFF he has been posting some tech stuff as he gets it. If there is anything else we can do to help out let us know (even if its not local we will try). To address the heat issue, we have installed this "bridge" on a few spyders now and no one has reported cooling issues or excess heat build up.

Thanks, I was just curious if you were a supporting vendor as we love all of those! :2thumbs:

I'll cut you some slack with your 'etiquette', but you get no slack with spelling! Just kidding'...please put on some pics and give us the ins and outs with installation...I'm likely to get one...glad it doesn't affect heat in the engine compartment...

link to picture and install info

Again I apologize, I have no Idea how to place pictures in here(I need to do some studying). Here is a link to a thread that contains pictures of our original install. All you need to do is remove the side covers and top cover, using a hook and loop tape it attatches to the backbone of the frame right behind the airbox. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26993

I thought I said that in post #5? I must be on everyone's ignore list.

If we live out of your state, what is the tax for?

You did, but those pics are just the prototype they did for one customer. Seeing the real thing and install pics would be nice. Some of us may have mods installed that could conflict with this unit - thus why a pic is so important.

Corey-

Looking for my invoice to pay you. I've sent several messages with no response. Trying this thread as a last attempt.

Fire,

Not to sound like a tough crowd, but I'm with ya on that...I think the idea is awesome and the product might be a 'can't miss', but updated pro shots of the final product will help to move the product faster...if I'm impressed, I'm in...I do find that my side/front panels move in under the plastic tabs when I ride curves pretty hard...

Also, any idea about tax on out of state purchase?

AS I have ridden my :spyder2: for over 10k, I have as yet to put my knees on the plastic and crush it to the frame. I dont see a need.

It's those tabs on the Y panel that are the problem---- they overlap the side panels quite often-- doesn't matter how much you 'crush' the side with your knees.....

Oh, that's what you call them...those darn tabs...I agree...I constantly have to re-seat the panels so that the tabs aren't visible...if this is a fix for this and it gives more support to the area, it's worth it...

Also, like you said, it doesn't matter if you lean on the bike or not, the panels flip over the tabs quite often...argh!

Tax and Pictures

I will dig into the tax thing, I am with you if you do not live in WA than you should not have to pay WA taxes, however I want to cover our a** as a business. IF I DO NOT NEED TO CHARGE STATE SALES TAX WE WILL REFUND THOSE OF YOU WHO PAID ALREADY VIA PAYPAL. Pictures are on the way, the new design is the same as the prototype other than we used a stiffer more heat resistant material(the original is still running strong) I will try and get some up close and personal pics posted this week. Thank you for your patience and coaching on here guys.
