RS Accessory On An RT ?

Yippee ... only several more months 'till Christmas. Better start my accessory list now!

That Can-Am Billet License Plate Frame, shown in the RS billet accessories section of the 2011 Parts, Accessories & Riding Gear catalog, sure looks nice.

There must be a reason why it's in the RS section only. (part # 219400114 or 219400130)

Couldn't it work just as well on the RT?

The ...130 part number is for the 4x8" plate.

Oh well.

MI plates are 4"x7", too.

I measured the opening and it is 6 15/16"

I had to trim 1/8' of the bottom of my plate to make it fit.

Just used a sheet metal hand cutter, license plate was alluminium so not a difficult cut.
Made a cardboard template first that fitted properly, then cut the Plate to the size of the cardboard.

If you're working on a Christmas list; The Brake caliper covers for the RS will also work on an RT...

Thanks this helped and the end product looks awesome. Used Cutco Super Shears from a colleague of mine at work. That did the trick.
