• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For RS SE5 & SM5 riders, what are your timings for 1/4 mile & top speed? @ our local drag strip, I did the 1/4 in 14.23 seconds & hit 95.51 mph in the 1/4 mile & topped out @ 124 mph.

Under 12 sec 1/4 at 118 mph:

With my friend, SethO.

My top speed on a stock 2012 RS-S is 118 mph: ducked down as tight as possible, going downhill.nojoke
Somebody has got to tell me where I can find the extra speed:gaah:

Just sayin'............

Down the road..!!

117 mph ran out of road, but have never run the 1/4. We have an RS 2012 with a hindle and K&N filter. All in all fast enough for us....:ohyea:

Hey Doc,
I finally realized just how much of that speedometer you "burned down" in your runs!! :firstplace: :bowdown::bowdown: :2thumbs:

I should have saved my time slips from last years Spyderfest. I did the 1/4 in the mid 13's (I think) and 98 mph (I'm sure). That was track mph, not speedo.

Fast times BajaRon - 1/4 in the mid 13's @ 98 mph. Have you done any modifications that added to your hp & speed? What are the bang for your buck modifications, when it comes to speed & engine performance? I run a stock 2012 rs with no modifications other than run as light as possible.

Honestly, I don't know. I didn't think I was all that fast. I am pretty sure I can do better.

I've got a Yoshimura exhaust, K&N air filter and a JB (which I think was set too rich at the time). Nothing all that special really.

I think that Ron uses experience and treachery to his advantage! :D

I've done some stop light drags (never on the Spyder, always on 2 wheels... They forced me!). But this was my very first time ever, at an actual drag strip. It was easier and a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

I still have mine but they are fading in my wallet. My best was 13.83 at 93.87 MPH My worst was 14.20 and I was always letting off toward the end unless I was behind. I only got beat twice, once by Doc in the pratice runs and once by the guy who won the 1st place trophy.

Sounds like a lot of fun running against other spyders @ spyderfest. Are there videos of spyderfest drags? I've found a few on youtube.
