• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I read the Do and Don'ts and is not that clear.
Let me know what I should do for the break-in period. I read the RPMs numbers for the 990cc, and the format for the 990cc on the Do and Don'ts but I am not clear with the new 2015 bike numbers:

Tell me please the 1300 shifting :
1-2 -RPMs
2-3 RPMs
3-4 RPMs
4-5 RPMs
5-6 RPMs
then downshift per shift.

I try to keep it simple. I shift for all gears at 3000 - 3500. That seems to be the "sweet spot" on mine. I keep the :spyder2: in that same operating range through all the gears. If you use the ECO mode, it will have you shift quicker (as in about 2000 or so on first & second). The ECO limits the throttle but saves about 1 mpg for me. I find looking for the shift light to be annoying.

Following the above, you will get through the break-in period with no glitches. I do not recommend red lining or doing funny stuff until you have a couple thousand miles on it. There is also a warning to cool it for the first 350 miles or so to get the tires and brakes set in well.

With my method, I get 39 - 42 mpg consistently.

I've never seen an RT being "born" before. It's interesting to see what's inside the crate. Did they have to align the front end or did they just install the "frunk" and the front wheels ? I'm still trying to understand the "need" for alignment of a brand new Spyder right out of the crate. Your thoughts will be appreciated.
I am not sure, I had the Service Manager to take the pics. I was not there. :mad:

RE: Alignment. BRP states that the :ani29:'s are aligned within "spec" at the factory--prior to delivery of the unit to the dealer and then customer.

The alignment people say that about 95% of the :spyder2: aligned could do better with a laser alignment as a part of the delivery to the customer.

Some dealers are now doing a laser alignment as part of the sale and prepping of the :ani29:.

A proper test drive by the dealer should be done and if there are handling issues, they should be solved before delivery to the customer--IMO of course.

All the above taken into consideration, there is also the option of having alignment people go over your :spyder2: if the dealer did not or will not. Mine does not.

A wide range of choices for sure at the moment.
