• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rotella T synthetic for the Spyder

For the Suzuki SV...a much prefered oil was Shell Rotella T synthetic "blue bottle"...an oil for high compression diesel engines...Your thoughts for the spyder?

I met an old guy once who said he will not use anything but amsoil......I trusted him and been following his footsteps since, never had a problem........love Amsoil.

Keep in mind I do not yet have a SPyder, but oh yeah I plan to run Amsoil in that as well.

2 products that died to me in the '80s...amsoil and avon tires. They may be better now, but I'll stick with the time tested stuff.

I will probably switch to AMSoil after my service contract runs out. Right now, my scheduled maintenance, including all materials, is paid for for 3 years, unlimited mileage. I think Im gonna make a deal on this one...LOL

I was wondering about using Mobil 1. That's what I use in my Truck, and my wife's Mazda. That's the only oil I have used for the past several years.

Been running Redline products in my other bike. Quieter top end, smoother shifting, and no clutch slip. For the Spyder, I'll stick with the BRP oil for now. Remember that one oil does all for this, not only does it lubricate engine components, it has to handle high stress loads in the tranny, and have the correct friction for the clutch. If one of the big players comes out with something Spyder specific I'll consider it, but the BRP oil doesn't cost any more than the others, and BRP can't raise any warranty issues.

Good Point! I really didn't think of it that way.

Make sure you use V-twin Mobil 1 for motorcycles.

Don't use the same as in your cars and trucks.
