• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rolling Thunder revisited...

Nothing locked down yet...I guess in a week or two we should starting pm'ing each other and make specific plans...it'd be nice to be organized...

We'll keep the thread going and in a week or two we'll get a specific plan with head-count going...

Yeah...I was downtown a few years ago when they had it...what an amazing experience as a spectator...I can only imagine what it'd be like to be riding in it.

I think we should all get flag mounts and proudly display the American flag...I have a few vendors I've looked at, but I don't have any specifics from any Spyderlovers as to which one is the best to get...I might have to just order a few and see which one works the best...

I just placed an order for a dual mount (US and POW/MIA flags)

License plate or saddle bag mounts

How did you know which one to buy? For that matter, where the heck do you put it on a Spyder? I was looking for some metal to attach it to on the rear of the bike but all we really have is the rubberish handles...are people clamping there?

Hmmmmm....

As far as the Irish and Ireland goes, I love them and I love it there...had a great trip in 2002...one of the most beautfiful and relaxing places...nothing like sitting far out on the Dingle Peninsula, sitting in a pub, and listening to the cows and sheep as a soft breeze comes in...ahhhh...

Ride to the Wall

If you go on Sunday, plan on spending the entire day. I was there two years ago on a Ducati.Multistrada I was one of three Ducati's on the main staging area. I went to see the bikes at 8:30 and ended up in the parade. They started the ride at 11:30, I was near the front and did not move until 1:30. Last year I rode my Spyder from a Harley dealer to the Pentagon area, but did not go to the ride from the Pentagon. I think I was one of two or three Spyders that year. I did not see any one else but I was told there was one yellow one and one other silver one in on of the many rides. My friend that went to the Pentagon left around 3:00 because he got tired of waiting for the parade to get to him. It is great but be patient. I am selling my Spyder, see add in the for sale section, so I will probably not be in the ride. It will be great to see a large number of Spyders in the ride. Almost, if not all Harley dealers have rides from their dealership to the Pentagon.

Yeah, I heard it is a full day event...however, once in a lifetime might be worth it...a strong showing of Spyderlovers would be nice...

Any particular reason as to why you are selling your Spyder?

LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE TRAVELING THAT WAY FROM PITTSBURGH ON FRIDAY 22 MAY. HOPE TO SEE FOLKS ON SATURDAY MORNING BESIDE THE LINCOLIN MONUMENT.

In a week or two, I'll try to get in touch with each of you so that we can swap info and plan a specific meeting time and place...it seems like the Lincoln memorial is a good place to go...I'm sure it won't be hard to find a group of Spyders....however, we should organize...

As mentioned previously, I will do my best to send the banner that direction and possibly all the way to the rally if I can get it to the right person. I will keep you posted.

I bought the 22 degree kit for upright license plate. I have the NMN Triple Play kit and there should be ample room to install on the tail light frame.

I have been to Ireland 11 times in the past 5 years. I have made many friends there and always make more on each trip. My favorite spot is in the northwest...Co. Donegal. Absolutely GORGEOUS and very few tourists because it is the most remote of the Irish counties.

BTW, where in MD are you?

I would like to thank all you VETS :clap:for your service to our great nation!!! and will keep you all that is deployed or not deployed in my prayers:pray::pray: I wish I could make the ride with ya please give hand salute for me, I will be on this mission next rolling thunder:2thumbs:
:agree:

Okay...looks like we have some interest for a nice group here.

In a few days we should get an actual plan together and put it into effect...where to meet, what time, etc...

As we all know by now, it's an all day thing...that means, use that front trunk for food and beverages!
