• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rode a SE5 today

My first Spyder demo ride was on a SM5. I enjoyed it enough to order a Spyder two weeks later. I wanted my wife to be able to ride and she didn't think she could get the hang of the clutch lever and shifting with her foot. So, I ordered an SE5 and was expecting it to arrive around the end of August. Well it didn't and I was getting antsy to ride so when I saw my dealer was having a demo ride today I decided to go. I grabbed a friend of mine that is a Harley guy and took him to try the Spyder.
As we were going through the tech talk before the ride our BRP rep mentioned if we needed any further information on the Spyder and aftermarket products we should try going to SpyderLovers.com
Thought you might enjoy that little tid bit Lamonster. Anyway, I really am happy I ordered the SE5. I had a blast on the ride today. I got a little behind the lead group at one point and decided I should catch up, before I knew it I was at 74mph. I am really pleased with the way the SE functions. A little hard to not get off the throttle when changing gears at first but once you get used to it :yikes:. We did about a 6 or 7 mile ride, the path we took was a little different from my original ride and a little longer. I talked to my salesman and the general manager about delivery. They think my Spyder might be here before the first of October. Sure hope they are right, I can't wait to get back out again. My Harley riding friend said he had a blast. He thought he had the VSS kick in at least once. There were only about 6 of us for the first demo ride today so I think the guys let us get away with a little more than the last demo ride I took. I heard some barking tires more than just a couple times. Now I am all amped up again. Can't wait for my Spyder to get here! :2excited:

I also took a demo ride today (Lodi) on an SE5. I had a blast since I was the only one who showed up for the 11-12 time slot, felt like I was special!
Even though I hadn't ridden a two-wheeler in almost 30 years, I was still reaching for the clutch and brake levers! But it wasn't enough to disuade me, I still will order the auto, it was great!
