• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RocketLadys Soft Case Bag

Pictures of my soft case for Spyder. Notice the " Y " factor on the bag ! Perfect it, bag expands 4 " upwards. Two side zip cases, inside removable fitted tote bag. Waterproof cover overlaps zippers for dry storage.

Soft Case Bag is from Twisted Throttle. They had a display at Daytona Bike Week. I paid $159.00 with a discount as they used my Spyder for their display(and took pictures for next catalog) while I was out riding the red SE5. It is listed in their product catalog. The removable inside tote is so convenient for wallet, etc. and my helmet also fits in the case when you lift it up into full upright position. Two straps go under the seat strut to hold it in place.

What about refueling? Can you gas up without removing the bag?

Thanks!
Looking at the pics again it looks like it's strapped to the seat not the handles so it would move up with the seat.

There are four straps (2 front, 2 back). I attached so that it does not affect the seat in any way. It is very secure. Undid the strut, strapped, reattached strut end and it is on tight. Does not interfer with fueling. I really like being able to put things in the two side zipper bags as it is so easy to get to while on the Spyder.

For RocketLady - Thanks for the invite to ride the Ocala forest with both of you. Will contact you all the next time I head up that way. Is that a custom seat on your Spyder? Info please.

Not a custom seat, standard BRP seat cover.

How do you like the cover? Dealer has it in stock here at north jax (both thread colors). I wait to buy accessories until someone else has tested them for the Spyder!!! ;D :redfaced:

We have changed subjects but it happens... The seat cover was easy to put on once I warmed it up in the sun. I hung it on the open seat and gave it some time to heat up. It has a much different "feel" than the original. I liked the original but was scuffing it up getting on and off. I rode the demo at Daytona with the seat cover so I had a chance to really check it out before buying. That said, I didn't check out the BRP touring windshield before ordering and that was a waste of money for me. Anyway, the seat cover is a much sturdier cover than the stock. The accent color stitching sets it off to make it look really special. Yes, this was a good change for the money...now if I could only sell that touring windshield. I purchased a custom tinted windshield today from my dealer(he is carrying them in stock) so I was able to try it on the demo Spyder at the dealer before purchase. I will post a picture as soon as Rocketman installs. Best mod so far, Hindle and brake/turn conversion !

Thanks for the positive vote on the seat cover, RocketLady. I ordered one sight unseen (OK, other than the photos found on this mb) to put on when my Spyder (ordered eleven months ago--thanks for letting me whine) arrives.

Back to the bag for a moment--I know you wrote you got it from Twisted Throttle, but isn't it a Givi product? Do you know what model?

jeuchler so sorry your Spyder hasn't found you yet- It will be worth the wait! Yes. yes. yes !
I rode a Burgman scooter :( before this and I now feel as though I have been empowered riding the Spyder ! I am in control of her, she is not in control of me  So whine if you need to, knowing that when your special Spyder comes to you, it will be worth the wait !

I checked into the bag that twistedthrottle sells and learned that the brand is Bags-Connection; a German company. The TT people also say the same manufacturer's Cargo Bag fits well on the Spyder.

Yup.

That photo of the tankbag in the previous post to yours is a Bags-Connection.

Yes it is a Bag Connection case. Yes I saw the tank bag too. They had both sitting on my Spyder and took pictures. They also gave me 2 nice black T shirts for the photo opt.

I went to the twisted site - I don't see any bags for the Spyder.

I like the touring windshield - I think it looks better than the stock one.

Use Lamont's link five posts up. Type "luggage" in Twisted Throttle's search field, you'll get 551 hits.
